Helifix Repairs on a Listed Building –
King Edward Vii Academy, Norfolk
The works involved the careful removal of mortar, selected bricks and all corroded reinforcement. Deteriorated reinforcement was replaced with new Helifix Helibar installed in the original positions and fully encapsulated in cementitious grout in accordance with Helifix specifications. All joints were then repointed using a lime mortar matched to the existing building in texture, tone, colour and weathered appearance. Bricks that had been set aside were re-bedded in their original locations, with new matching bricks introduced where necessary. All repairs were completed in line with Helifix requirements and are covered by a Helifix guarantee.
